COATGUARD 925

ANTI-STATIC SELF LEVELING PAINT

Coatguard 925 is a high-performance, two-component, self-leveling anti-static epoxy topcoat designed for static-controlled environments. Engineered for use in sensitive workspaces like data centers, electronic assembly lines, cleanrooms, and laboratories, this coating effectively dissipates static electricity while delivering superior durability, chemical resistance, and a seamless finish. It ensures long-term protection, compliance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control requirements, and maintains a clean, dust-free work surface.

Product Overview

Coatguard 925 provides a robust anti-static finish for industrial and commercial environments requiring precise electrostatic discharge control. When integrated into a complete epoxy flooring system, it enhances safety, longevity, and cleanliness in high-sensitivity operations.

Key Features:

  • Anti-static properties for static-sensitive environments like data centers and electronic labs

  • Self-leveling formulation ensures a smooth, seamless finish

  • High chemical and abrasion resistance

  • Low VOC and non-dusting surface, ideal for cleanroom standards

  • Superior adhesion and surface coverage

  • Easy maintenance and long-lasting performance

  • Compatible with full epoxy floor systems and copper grounding tapes

❗LIMITATIONS: Not recommended for concrete less than one month, any unsound substrate, and substrate with moisture content exceeding 3% as per ASTM D4263, non-hardening sealants and caulking, form- release agents containing wax or oil. Silicone-coated surfaces, expansion joint, soluble stains, asphalt surfaces and areas where water seepage exists.

Application Guide

Surface Preparation & Pre-conditions:

  • Ensure that Coatguard 114 Self-Priming Epoxy Mastic Midcoat is completely cured, clean, and free from dust or contaminants.

  • Surface must be sanded (up to grit #100), and vacuumed thoroughly before topcoat application.

  • All grounding components (e.g., copper tape) must be properly installed and securely attached to an earth ground system before application of Coatguard 925.

Mixing Instructions:

  • Mix Part A and Part B at the specified ratio (as per product specifications).

  • Add Syntex Thinner #90 as needed to adjust viscosity.

  • Use mechanical mixing for 2–3 minutes until fully homogenized.

Application Method:

  • Apply using a notched squeegee and backroll with a lint-free high tensile roller.

  • Avoid overlapping strokes or excessive backrolling to prevent lap marks or uneven curing.

  • Maintain recommended ambient temperature and humidity levels for optimal curing.

Recoating Time:

  • Allow 4–6 hours between coats depending on environmental conditions.

Safety Notes:

  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators, gloves, and safety goggles.

  • Ensure adequate ventilation or mechanical exhaust, especially in enclosed spaces.

  • Avoid direct skin contact; follow local safety regulations.
